Emissions reduction targets
Advanta Healthcare had no previous emissions reduction commitment.
Advanta Healthcare anticipate a ~30% increase in Carbon emissions in 2024 due to company growth.
To continue our progress to achieving Net Zero since the base year of 2023, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.
We project that carbon emissions will decrease over the next five years to ~70 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of ~54%.
Carbon Reduction Projects
Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives
Since Advanta Healthcare is a new entity, the management team will be implementing optimisation and reduction strategies to control emissions when scaling.
The main increase for 2024 and beyond, will be down to Scope 3 emissions uptick, as a result of international travel.
However, the management team have already identified key areas where the increase in international travel can be offset by various efficiency measures:
Conduct more virtual interviews.
Aggregate international recruitment events.
Cohortise candidate relocation and transition across the U.K. healthcare system.
Automating and using a technology platform to manage customer and client relationships.
Reducing waste in line with ISO 14001 polices.
Wider measures to optimise and reduce emissions include:
Encourage agile working which will reduce business travel and commuting.
Implement annual reviews to identify new ways of reducing emissions and footprint.
Upgrade the Carbon reporting tracker to improve the recording of carbon emissions.
Working with building providers to upgrade systems and reduce energy usage.
Future Implementations
Purchasing more energy efficient office and IT equipment (where applicable, purchasing refurbished equipment).
Using more recycled office furniture.
Declaration and Sign Off
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.
Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard1 and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting2.
Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard3.
This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
